Who is going to win the Superbowl this Sunday? New England Patriots or the New York Giants?

Well… let me start off by saying there are only three types of people

1. New England Patriot fans…
2. New York Giant fans…
3. and those who don’t care…

Since I live on the West Coast and both of these teams are located on the East coast — it is probably better for me to sit on the fence here. And to tell you the truth, both teams have done really well this season and both deserve to be in the Superbowl representing the best of the best that NFL has to offer this year.

And sure, there will be lots of controversy. The Patriots were caught spying the signals of other teams. Don Shula thinks that team deserves to have an asterisk next to their name if they win the Superbowl to go along with their perfect season.

But what the heck? Its football! Let the game start already…

And don’t forget to bring the beer and chips on Superbowl Sunday!

Chicago divorce attorney, Corri Fetman made headlines for herself with racy and unusual billboards. My understanding is that the city took them down after one week. Her motto is “Life is too short, get a divorce.”

So what is the female version of Donald Trump doing these days? Well, apparently she is going to disrobe herself in the February 2008 issue of the Playboy magazine.

Oh boy!

So. How about that stock-market? I suppose I’ve never been what one would call rich, but I had ambitions that I was at least working towards becoming moderately well-off until the stock-market took a dive. Now I’m starting to think about checking out a wealthy dating site so I can start the process of marrying into money. I’m only joking, of course. I mean, I wouldn’t kick a wealthy single woman out of my bed if I happened to find her there, but that really isn’t the issue.

Sure, whether you’re a guy or gal, suddenly finding happiness with someone and, at the same time, having your money worries evaporate would be nice, but all that most of us are really after is the first part of that equation.

That’s not to say that the fantasy never comes true. I’ve seen it happen. A good friend of mine met this gal that he fell head-over-heels for the first time he saw her. They met in university and they hit it off and stayed together the whole time they were studying. They were both from out of town so it was almost two years before either one met the other’s family. The first time my friend went to meet the people who are now his in-laws his jaw hit the floor as they drove up to the house. He knew his girlfriend’s family was well-off, but he had no idea they were actually monocle-and-top-hat rich.

Now he’s married, has a kid and lives in a ludicrously big house that was a wedding present from her parents. It didn’t change him at all though. He still works his butt off every day and has managed to build himself his own little business from scratch that is doing very well.

When he first realized her family situation he, after he stopped being surprised, wondered why she hadn’t told him before. It makes sense to him now though. One of the problems is that you can’t really be sure who cares about and who just wants a piece of you, so his wife’s decision to keep this thing quiet until she was sure about him makes perfect sense.

Whether you’re a wealthy single woman or one of those wealthy bachelors, the whole point of looking for other wealthy singles is to meet someone who is already financially secure so you know that they’re used to your lifestyle, that they can keep up, and they’re not after what you have. No one should have to hide their success in order to be sure of their relationships and dating wealthy is a good way to find happiness with people who are already on the same page.

I don’t know if it’s the weather, the time of year, or what, but all I can think about is beautiful, sexy women. I see them everywhere. Every time I leave the house, there’s another sexy gal, but for some reason I can’t find the nerve to talk to any of them. I’m not usually like this, but whatever the reason for it may be, at least I’m still able to find adult singles online.

There are so many beautiful women in my city that it drives me absolutely crazy. I mean it, they’re everywhere. Just the other day I was in the grocery store and there was this chick that was so hot that she was in danger of melting everything in the frozen food section. Sadly, like I said before, for some reason the proverbial cat has got my tongue. I’m partial to dating sites these days, because it gives me the opportunity to get to know someone before meeting them face to face and, right or wrong, I’m just more comfortable with that right now.

I’ve had many discreet relationships by meeting women online. I’ve had great times with most of them and only a very few have not been any fun at all. It’s great getting to know someone’s interests and their goals before sitting down and talking to them. That way you have something to discuss when you’re out on your first date. A lot of the ‘getting to know you’ stuff has already been taken care of and you can just have fun. Isn’t that the point of dates anyway?

When the date goes well, there’s much more fun to be had. Spending the night is always lots of fun and it proves that sometimes it’s not just the thrill of the chase. Who knows, maybe one day one of these beautiful, sexy women I meet might become my beautiful wife.

If you ever needed a reason to use to try use dating personals, I’ve got one for you. To be fair, there is really no reason why you wouldn’t want to use them. You can meet all kinds of people from all over the world, be as picky as you like and still find people that can make you smile. That said, this latest revelation has convinced me that I should really keep all my dating online.

A lot of problems are caused by poor communication and online dating can be a really good way to avoid any mix-ups. Some people find online dating a little impersonal and it’s true that it can be at first, but maybe you’ve heard the old saying about how it’s easier to confide in strangers. It’s also easier to tell strangers exactly what it is you want from them without feeling all the anxiety that comes with revealing yourself to someone with whom you’re face to face.

If you can get all those things you’re shy about saying out of the way and you still want to get more personal, then there will really be nothing at all stopping you once decide to meet the next sexy cutie who you think might be the one for you.

That said, I’m avoiding what I really wanted to talk about today. The other kind of communication mix-up you can avoid are the ones that involve your friends. It doesn’t matter how close a group of friends might be, a romance gone wrong can really break people apart.

I went by a friend’s party on the weekend and met this really beautiful girl. We talked a lot, laughed a lot and I quickly got the feeling there was something starting between us. Sounds like a good night out right? It was until I noticed my friend watching us. I think I stepped on his toes a bit. I had no idea he had feelings for her and I’m not about to lose one of my oldest friends over a woman with whom I spent all of three hours.

I really didn’t do anything wrong, but I feel like a bit of a jerk and I think it’ll be a while before I can smooth things over with my buddy. From now on, I’m sticking with meeting people online and safely out of my circle of friends. There is a lot that can go wrong with a romance on the best of days and I’d rather keep my friends at a safe distance from the fallout.
