And damn, it was almost the perfect season for the Pats.
So it is like getting kicked in the guts…
So is dating sometimes. You think you found the right person, everything is going perfect and then all of a sudden this person says “Thanks but no thanks…”
And for some people — this rejection gives them a horrible feeling. Feelings of rejections, feelings of despair, and feelings of disappointment of what could have been.
And these feelings are absolutely normal.

It seems to me like some people just didn’t grow up. I never really thought that I’d be interested in meeting woman that are older than I am, but it seems like people my age, in spite of being in their late 20s, haven’t really evolved passed high school. From now on, when I’m looking through the dating personals, I’m going to be looking for a mature girl.
The last gal I dated that was my age seemed really cool until I met her friends. I know, you’re supposed to worry about charming your date’s friends and trying to make a good impression. I guess I’m a bit of a jerk, but what are you supposed to say to a bunch of people that still reminisce, constantly, about the good-old days in high school to the point where they talk of nothing else?

I know that when old friends get together they talk about old times. I don’t let go of my friendships easily and when I see people we always ended laughing about old stories. That said, it’s not all we talk about, especially we’re with people that aren’t part of our old group. Sometimes we still tell the stories, but make sure to explain them to the new people.
That isn’t even what really bothered me about this situation though. The thing about the friends of the girl I was dating is that they all seemed to have the same rivalries and jealousies they’ve had since they were young. They gossip about each other, talk about who is messing up whose relationship and, every time I was alone with one of them, I felt like they were tying to get me to pick a side. This was day one. I went downhill from there. I just don’t understand people who act like that, what are you supposed to do? I, for one, can’t live in a soap opera, it’s way too stressful.
I tend to think that people are best judged be they company they keep. I’d be pretty proud to have my friends represent me and I don’t really think it’s possible to have a healthy relationship with someone whose friends are always stabbing each other in the back.
I’m a little worried that if I get involved with someone older than I am, she’ll end up finding me immature, bit I think it’s worth the risk, so from now on I’m going to start looking for a nice mature girl.

According to TMZ, the writers and studios made a deal! A tentative agreement has been struck.
Not totally sure what the whole writers strike was all about but I think the major sticking point was compensation for programming distributed on the Internet

TV viewers were forced to watch awful reruns of awful TV shows for months…
How ’bout some compensation for THAT!

True Romance Can Happen To Anyone

At one time or another, we’ve all wished for true romance, I’m sure. You know, the kind of whirlwind affair that completely takes your breath away and makes the rest of the world seem insignificant next to the events that are taking place in your life. If you’ve had one of these romantic affairs, then you know what I’m talking about. If not, you might be able to find the person you’ve been dreaming of at an adult dating site.
In my experience, storms and rainy days are ideal for romance. There are few things that are better than cuddling up under a blanket next to someone that you’re falling for. Especially in front of a fireplace with a nice bottle of wine. The rain beats time on the windows while the wind blows fiercely, but nothing can penetrate the shelter that you’ve built for yourselves. Temporary as it may be, it can become your whole life in one perfect moment. It’s just a matter of finding that right person and having that attraction that verges on obsession that is matched by the other person. It’s all about creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Romance, love and sex go hand in hand, but it’s important to remember that affairs of the heart can be fleeting and one should be prepared for them to end. If it is mutually understood by both parties that something as powerful as this can not last forever, then the end can be as sweet as the beginning. Shakespeare wrote that parting is such sweet sorrow and if you’ve found someone to have a lovely affair with, then you’ll know that this can be true. Saying goodbye just means that you get to take the memories of your true romance with you and they will be yours to keep, forever.
Never forget that all of this is possible for anyone who opens themselves up to such possibilities. If you’re not putting yourself out there, it can never happen to you, so don’t be afraid to let something wonderful, like true romance, happen to you.

Who is going to win the Superbowl this Sunday? New England Patriots or the New York Giants?
Well… let me start off by saying there are only three types of people
- New England Patriot fans…
- New York Giant fans…
- and those who don’t care…
Since I live on the West Coast and both of these teams are located on the East coast — it is probably better for me to sit on the fence here. And to tell you the truth, both teams have done really well this season and both deserve to be in the Superbowl representing the best of the best that NFL has to offer this year.
And sure, there will be lots of controversy. The Patriots were caught spying the signals of other teams. Don Shula thinks that team deserves to have an asterisk next to their name if they win the Superbowl to go along with their perfect season.
But what the heck? Its football! Let the game start already…
And don’t forget to bring the beer and chips on Superbowl Sunday!
